Incredible video recorded at South Africa’s Kruger National Park captured the moment two hippos saved a wildebeest from the death grip of a hungry crocodile.
The video was captured by a 72-year-old park visitor, Mervyn Van Wyk, who was visiting the park with his wife when the scene unfolded.
The crocodile was clamped down on the wildebeest's ankle near a river at park.
After a struggle, the crocodile begins to drag its prey into the river
That's when a pair of nearby hippos came to the rescue.
They advance on the underwater crocodile, freeing the injured wildebeest which is seen scampering up a hill to safety.
