VIDEO: Drunk driver records own crash

Posted

Police in Sussex, England released dash camera video from a teacher's car that was used to convict her of drunk driving.

The edited video shows the car of a 41-year-old school teacher driving off the road, swerving into bushes, barely missing other cars and road signs and speeding down a narrow lane.

Police said the footage shows "exactly what it looks like to drive under the influence of alcohol."

Eventually Louise Willard's white Vauxhall Corsa slams into the back of a parked car.

Police said they received a call saying Willard backed away from the car she hit and drove off.

She stopped down the road where she was picked up by police.

Her breath test showed she had three times the legal limit of alcohol.

She pleaded guilty in court and her driving privileges were suspended for 24 months.
