(NBC) - A Colorado woman had the shock of a lifetime when her car was suddenly swallowed by a sinkhole.
Police video captured this moment her vehicle suddenly dropped from view into the hole.
The woman managed to get out of the car with help from police.
Her vehicle later dropped about another 15 feet, and the hole filled with water.
The police officer who responded to the incident said the driver was lucky to survive.
"She actually got lucky because her car didn't go straight down. It started going down into it, so she was able to jump out," said Sgt. Greg Miller of the Sheridan Police Department.
Officials haven't been able to get the car out the hole yet but will work to remove it on Wednesday.
