(NBC) - Newly-released dashcam footage shows the moment a Texas school bus was swept away in fast-moving floodwaters during last week's flooding.
The video shows the school bus enter the flooded crossing, and then float down the swollen creek.
Video shows the bus hitting trees and debris along the way before becoming stuck in the water.
Police said they decided to release the video to remind people of just how dangerous floodwaters can be.
The driver of that bus was arrested and is no longer employed by the district.
The sole student on the bus was treated by emergency responders and released to his family.
The video is a strong reminder that when it comes to flooded streets, "turn around, don't drown."
