(NBC) - Dramatic body camera video shows the moments Atlanta police officers saved a passenger from a burning car early Sunday morning.

The single-vehicle crash happened around 4 a.m.

According to police, the car hit a metal utility pole and the engine compartment was engulfed in flames when they arrived at the scene.

Good samaritans at the scene had already pulled two people out of the car, but the front passenger was still trapped when police arrived.

One officer used fire extinguishers to calm the fire while the other officer worked to get the passenger out.

They were finally able to pull the person from the vehicle without being burned.

One officer had his pants catch on fire at one point but he is OK.

The three people in the car were taken to the hospital. No word on their condition.
