Have you heard of teal pumpkins?
It's a national project that's become more popular in the past couple of years.
If you see a home with a teal pumpkin outside while trick or treating then a child can get a non-food treat.
The Teal Pumpkin Projectstarted in Tennessee as a way to make sure every child was able to participate in Halloween trick or treating.
The program is part of the Food Allergy Research and Education organization and it's giving parents some comfort as they go door-to-door.
"Even if you don't have food allergies are you're participating it shows that you're aware and standing behind that cause. That's what food allergy families are interested in is that it's out there and it is a concern," said parent Sheree Godwin.

There are at least 32 homes that are food allergy safe from Boca Raton to Melbourne.
