MIRAMAR, Fla.-- A surprise wedding vow renewal proposal was captured on camera involving firefighters from Miramar Fire-Rescue Department.
Lt. Joe Gilhauley walked up a fire ladder to his wife, Richelle Gilhauley, who was waiting on the second floor of a building. She turns to the camera and asks, “What are you doing here?”
“You fill my heart with joy and happiness,” he told her. The couple appears to get emotional as he continues.
“You are my strength, my inspiration, and my hero,” Gilhauley told his wife.
Gilhauley got down on one knee to ask if his wife would marry him, again. The couple embraced while friends cheered.
The pair has been married for 25 years. Joe Gilhauley is a rescue lieutenant with the fire department and his wife Richelle works at the police department as the executive assistant to the police chief.
