When it's hot outside, don't just think of yourself, think of your pet.

A reminder test the pavement before you take your dogs for a walk.
A veterinary hospital in Washington posted photos on Facebook of a dog who got severe burns on his paws while walking a trail.

The Medical Lake Veterinary Hospital says there's an easy way to test if the pavement is too hot: If it burns your hand, it can burn the pads on their paws.
