Just like children, many dogs and cats will be outfitted with costumes.
16 percent of Americans plan to dress their pets in Halloween outfits this year, according to a National Retail Federation survey.
Those pet owners will spend around $440 million.
The most popular costumes for pets are pumpkins and hot dogs.
