(CNN) - A Nicholas Sparks novel has come to life in Oklahoma.
Clemma, 76, and Sterling Elmore, 80, have been married for 57 years and to mark that impressive anniversary, their granddaughter arranged a photoshoot for them.
Photographer Stacy Welch-Christ says she immediately thought of the 2004 movie “The Notebook” when she saw the couple.
Welch-Christ said she thought the romantic fictional story would be a fun theme for the shoot.
The film, featuring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams, is based in the 1940s, so the Elmores got into character and dressed in vintage clothing. One picture shows them in front of a classic car, holding hands and with a stack of notes.
And of course, the photos almost instantly became viral after she posted them online.
Since the couple’s photos were put on Facebook, the post has been shared more than 45,000 and received 2,700 comments.
