(KHQ, NBC NEWSCHANNEL) Body-camera footage shows the quick actions of a Spokane, Washington police officer help save the life of a driver and three children.
According to police, the driver was having a medical emergency while driving Tuesday.
An officer was unable to stop the driver, who eventually jumped the median and collided with a car on the other side of the road.
Police were then unable to get the driver to unlock the door or shut off the engine. That's when police used two cruisers to pin the SUV, stopping the driver from taking off.
Officer Deanne Storch was then able to convince one of the three children to roll down the window.
"It was like I could hear cheers in the background," said Officer Storch. "It was like 'Yay!' it was relief, absolute relief."
