FAIRHOPE, Ala. — (WKRG/CNN) - A 2-year-old in Alabama became an overnight sensation this week after getting stuck in a toy machine at a restaurant.
The little boy's mom said her son Ezra got a little too curious Monday night at a restaurant in Fairhope, Alabama, prompting him to crawl inside a claw machine filled with brightly colored toys.
"My daughter ran up to me and said, 'Ezra's in the game!'" said the child's mother Kelsey Ingersoll. "I thought he must have climbed on top of one."
But that wasn't the case. He was actually inside the game.
"The door only opens in and there is no way to get out unless you are really tiny," said Kelsey Ingersoll.
First responders came to the restaurant and helped spring Ezra from his self-imposed trap, and he actually got a toy out of the machine.
Ezra is none the worse for wear, but mom is keeping a close eye her mischievous toddler.
"I count them every few minutes just to make sure they are all there," said the mother of four. "I'm overprotective in that sense, so it's weird this even happened."
She calls Ezra her "little adventurer." He just turned two last month, so the real adventure may have just started.
"Terrible twos just began. I'm pretty sure the terrible two just began," said Kelsey Ingersoll.
