(KGW/NBC) - A woman in Washington state found herself in a frizzy fiasco on Tuesday.
Karmen Ayres says when she walked out to her car after work she noticed her windshield was severely cracked and something was protruding from the glass.
On closer inspection, she noticed it was a can of hairspray.
She admitted she left the can in the backseat of her car, so when temperatures reached the low 90s, her car heated up and the can exploded.
"At first, I looked up because I thought maybe something fell, but then I noticed it was from the inside out, and I was in shock, and then I realized what it was," said Ayres. “It launched like a rocket, and the bottom of the hairspray can is actually on the floor on the passenger side behind in the back seat."
Ayres called the situation an accident and says she's grateful no one was in the car when it exploded.
