(CNN) - A 5-year-old boy has failed to convince former President George H.W. Bush to give broccoli a second chance.
Bush famously said in 1990 that he hates broccoli and he reportedly banned it from Air Force One. But he recently received this letter from a boy named Cooper, who urged Bush to reconsider.
Bush posted the letter on Twitter Saturday.
Cooper wrote to Bush that broccoli is good for him and that he should give it a try.
The former president tweeted that he is proud of Cooper's interest in healthy living.
He also said that Cooper's love for broccoli is genuine, but it didn't get him to change his mind.
