BERLIN (AP) — There's nothing like the look of a nicely waxed car. But is it possible for a car to be TOO shiny? Authorities in Germany say in this case, the answer's yes.
A Hamburg newspaper says a driver was pulled over earlier this month and told by police that his Porsche Panamera — featuring a reflective gold foil finish — might blind other drivers and was considered a danger.
He was told to rip off the foil and re-register the car — but police say he kept driving it.
He was caught again last week — and this time, police took his his keys, papers and license plate. What's more, the Porsche was towed to a garage, where it will stay until the foil comes off — and it's considered street legal again.
