The expansion will be based on Disney's 2016 animated hit film that won an Academy Award and Golden Globe, among others.
Disney said guests will be invited to experience the mammalian metropolis of Zootopia where anyone can be anything. The land will feature state-of-the-art technology and plenty of characters from the movie, including Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.
Zootopia broke box office records in China, becoming the country's most profitable animated feature film ever.
Disney said construction will begin later this year. An opening date hasn't been announced yet.
Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando is also busy putting the finishing touches on a new Star Wars land at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is scheduled to open in the Fall.
