ORLANDO, Fla. — Disney delivered a Christmas present to Star Wars fans on Tuesday.

The company released a behind-the-scenes video of "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge," a new land coming to Disney World in Orlando and Disneyland in California.

"It will be jaw dropping and incredibly emotional to walk into the land for the first time," said Carrie Beck, Vice President of Lucasfilm Story Group. "To actually be standing there among the buildings, among the ships, and have this feeling that it is all real, that it has been brought to life and it is right there in front of you, it's overwhelming."

On the "Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run" attraction, Disney said you'll ride in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon as either a pilot, gunner, or engineer.

"It is gonna be an intense, super fun experience on the fastest ship in the galaxy," said Scott Trowbridge, Creative Executive of Walt Disney Imagineering.

Trowbridge said fans will also experience the most epic attraction Disney has ever built in "Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance." You'll be a recruit of the Resistance and stand up to the First Order, encountering Kylo Ren along the way.

"Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge" is set to open in summer of 2019 at Disneyland Resort in California, and fall of 2019 at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando.
