Cupcake the cat, of West Sussex, England, is counting her lucky stars.
She is alive and well after surviving an amazing journey inside a box that was shipped over 250 miles and took eight days to arrive.
Her vets say she is in amazing condition considering her ordeal over the past week.
Apparently, Cupcake wound up in a box of DVDs that her owner shipped from Cornwall to West Sussex - a journey of over 250 miles.
There was no food, no water, and Cupcake had no idea what was happening to her.
When she was found in the box, she was taken to the vet and, fortunately, her microchip allowed the clinic to contact Cupcake's owner.
"Somebody had found her in a box filled with DVDs and cds and, she, they couldn't believe it and it was a miracle because she was you know she was alive and she's, she's managed to survive that awful ordeal," said her owner, Julie Baggott. "I never realized she was in there, I know. It was a pretty big box. Yeah, bless her - but she'd obviously just fallen asleep in there, and yeah."
Ben Colwell of the Grove Lodge Veterinary Clinic said, "We worry, um, when they've not eating for a few days that they can get jaundice when they start to break down their fat stores, um, but she wasn't, she was lovely in pink so she was really lucky, really."
Cupcake will be going home after a final check at the vet's clinic.
Baggott says having Cupcake microchipped was one of her best decisions and credits that decision with getting her beloved wayward feline home so quickly.
