A Nile crocodile in Florida recently underwent surgery after eating a tourist's shoe.
The incident happened two months ago at St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park.
The female croc named Anuket is nearly 350 pounds and 10.5 feet long.
She ate a shoe that fell off of a tourist's foot while they were zip-lining in December 2020.
For months zoo personnel tried everything to get the shoe.
Sadly nothing worked, forcing zoo officials to call experts from the University of Florida, home of the Gators, to help the croc.
An animal surgeon performed a gastronomy and was able to recover the shoe.
After an overnight stay, Anuket returned home to the park where she is expected to make a full recovery.
