SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) -- A set of rare quadruplets born without fertility treatments are healthy and waiting to go home.
Harrison, Preston, Jackson and Lila Corcoran were born last month. They are the fifth set of quadruplets born at Sarasota Memorial in the last 20 years or so.
Their parents spoke during a press conference Thursday. First-time mom Amanda Corcoran said she left her job as a legal assistant in November per doctor's orders. Kyle Corcoran is an Army veteran who served in South Korea and a tour in Afghanistan and is studying construction technology. They moved in with her parents and are spending their days in the neonatal intensive care unit until the babies can come home.
The Herald-Tribunereports only 228 sets of quadruplets were born out of nearly 4 million births in the U.S. in 2015.
