Colorado teacher accused of letting kids hit President Trump piñata

A Colorado high school teacher was placed on leave after photos of a controversial Cinco de Mayo event went viral on social media.

The photos show President Donald Trump’s face placed on a piñata, the piñata tied to a tree and a student with a bat in hand near the piñata, according to a statement from Weld RE-5J School District officials posted to Facebook Saturday night.

“This was an incredibly disrespectful act that does not reflect the values of Roosevelt High School or the school district, said Superintendent Dr. Martin Foster.

The teacher, who was not identified, was placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation by the school district.
