Animals enjoy Halloween treats at Cincinnati Zoo

It's Halloween time and at the Cincinnati Zoo, that means "Hall-zoo-ween" and treats for the animals.

The annual event will look a little different as the zoo bends to meet COVID safety standards.

But the animals won't know the difference. The zoo residents, including Fiona the hippo and her friends, monkeys and elephants, are enjoying pumpkin treats.

Pumpkin fun for the animals is just part of the zoo's seasonal activities.

Visitors can take rides on the Hogwart's Express, eat fall-themed foods, and have fun photos taken throughout the park.

Instead of trick or treating this year, children will receive pre-filled bags of goodies.

To allow for social distancing, a limited number of visitors will be allowed inside the zoo.
