(WPTV) — Amid mandatory evacuations in Florida for Hurricane Dorian, some sea turtles are safe and sound.
Sea turtles are dry-docked and secure at Loggerhead Marinelife Center, according to a Facebook post.
Loggerhead said that over the past few days, beach-goers brought additional hatchlings to the center, where they've been taking care of about 20 hatchlings. Loggerhead said all hatchlings and sea turtle patients are safe.
Volunteers and staff have helped prepare the center and turtles for the hurricane.
