Update: The state dropped the charges against Jay Baird in April of 2018.
Original story: Jay Baird of Jupiter has been arrested on child pornography charges.
Jupiter police say that they received a call from the mother of seven-year-old girl who said that Baird had taken several explicit photos of her daughter. Baird, according to police, is an acquaintance of the family.
Baird told police that he took the photos with his iPhone 5 and then emailed them to his Gmail account.
Detectives also searched Baird's computer and say they found six other child porn photos.
Jupiter police arrested Baird and charged with him promoting a sexual performance by a child and possession of child pornography.
