Free mental health and depression screening

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla.-- It’s often a taboo topic, but estimates say about 20% of Americans face some type of mental illness.  It can a magnified struggle during the stress of the holidays. 

The Mental Health Association of Palm Beach County www.mhapbc.org is reminding people of services offered to help people who are struggling, or their concerned family members. It’s available for free and it’s confidential year-round.

The Mental Health GPS hotline offers free and confidential mental health screening and navigation to services.  A new video is being shared through the organization: http://bit.ly/2hj3w5M

The phone number to get help is 561.801.HELP (4357). 

People may also call 211 in Palm Beach County or on the Treasure Coast to ask for assistance with mental health issues and other struggles.
