Temperatures plunge to -42.7 degrees in Chinese city

MOHE, CHINA - It's so cold in parts of China, hot water is immediately turning to ice!

The China Meteorological Administration said the temperature dropped to -42.7 degrees in Mohe, the country's most northern city.

Because of that, the weather authority issued Mohe's first-ever cold weather red warning.

But the freezing temperatures seemed to excite some people who threw hot water into the air and watched it instantly turn into ice crystals.

The Meteorological Administration said the extreme cold will last until Friday.
