(NBC) Ben and Jerry's revealed three new flavors of ice cream this week using Snapchat.
The Vermont-based ice cream company revealed “Brownie Batter Core,” “Cookies and Cream Cheesecake Core” and “Coconuts for Caramel Core” as the latest additions to its popular "Core" line of ice creams.
The company said they wanted to keep their flavor launch funky and fresh, just like their new flavors.
"Snapchat has picked up ground in the last year or so, and I think a lot of people are using it to access news on the daily. I think it could be a good marketing tool for companies to display new promotions and stuff like that,” said Snapchat user Kieran Halligan.
Snapchat was created for people to socialize with friends but now companies are taking advantage of it to promote their products.
