Publix Cranberry Nut and Seed Mix recalled

Publix is recalling its cranberry nut and seed mix because the company says it may contain Listeria monocytogenes.

Publix says it walnut supplier, Woodstock Farms, notified it about the potential contamination after routine testing.

The recall affects the 7.05 ounce plastic containers of prepackaged cranberry nut and seed mix sold at Publix produce departments in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee and North Carolina. The product has a UPC of 41415-34986 and use-by dates of Aug. 7, 2016 through Aug. 30, 2016.

"As part of our commitment to food safety, potentially impacted product has been removed from all store shelves,” Publix Media and Community Relations Director Maria Brous said in a statement.

She said there have been no reported cases of illness.

Customers can return the nut and seed mix to their local store for a full refund.
