(CNN) McDonald's is testing out its own version of a southern classic: chicken and waffles. They're calling this sandwich the “Chicken McGriddle.”
It's a fried chicken patty surrounded by a pair of maple syrupy-sweet buns. But if you want to try it, you need to go to Ohio.
Eleven McDonald's restaurants in central Ohio are testing the Chicken McGriddle through the end of March.
It could be sold nationally depending on customer feedback.
The pancake-like maple buns are already part of the fast food giant's popular McGriddle breakfast sandwiches.
McDonald's recent decision to serve breakfast all day has been wildly popular and an economic win for the chain.
