Granola sold at Publix recalled, could contain plastic, rocks or glass

A granola cereal and snack product sold at Publix has been recalled because it may include plastic, rocks or glass.

According to a Publix news release, the company Purely Elizabeth voluntarily recalling several of their granola and bar offerings due to a possible contamination with foreign matter.

No injuries or illness have been reported.

Publix said the recalled products were distributed nationwide in retail stores and on the Purely Elizabeth website. The Florida-based grocer said this is an "isolated incident" specifically related to particular products that contain cashews.

Details on the recalled products are below.

UPC codes are printed in black on the bottom of bags of granola and on the bottom of the bars packaging near the nutritional facts panel. Best by dates are stamped on the back of the packaging in black ink.

Consumers who purchased the products should contact Purely Elizabeth for a free replacement.
