According to AAA, gas prices are the lowest since 2004 and are expected to continue dropping through the rest of the summer.
Average gasoline prices in Miami had fallen just over two cents per gallon, per a survey of 1,690 gas outlets in the area.
"I think it's great since it's summertime and the prices are lower. It has definitely made me want to travel more, and that's what I plan on doing," said Kaitlyn Wilburn, who was filling up at a West Palm Beach gas station.
The national average for a gallon of gas is currently $2.15, according to GasBuddy.com.
