JUPITER, Fla. — If you've decided you feel safe enough to go out on New Year's Eve there are dining and entertainment options for everyone. Most establishments are suggesting reservations because of capacity` restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Some highlights, for the kids, the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium is hosting its outdoor "Noon Year's Eve" party which includes an Apple Cider toast at noon. For adults, the Palm Beach County Kennel Club is holding its final greyhound races before the new Amendment 13 law kicks into effect on Saturday which bans the practice. And on South Beach, rapper Nelly will be performing a socially distanced concert at the Fontainebleau.

The New Year’s Eve dinner at 1000 NORTH is $175 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Begin with the Caviar Chip with king crab remoulade, watercress, and Meyer lemon emulsion. Next, select the Maine Lobster and Hass Avocado Salad or the Sea Urchin Tagliatelle. The Winter Squash Veloute with ham hock, a reggiano Parmesan fritter, and a poached egg offers a Southern interlude. Then, choose between Miso-Glazed Chilean Sea Bass or the Porcini-Crusted Prime Filet Mignon. The celebratory meal is even sweeter with a special dessert.
III Forks - Jupiter
Executive chef Tommy Nevill will present a convivial three-course prix fixe feast including salad, 6-ounce Filet Mignons and 6-ounce Lobster Tails served with whipped potatoes and asparagus, six layers of Chocolate Canache Cake, featuring a wine pairing and loaded with surf-and-turf classics. The menu is available for dine-in or curbside pickup. The first 12 curbside pickup orders will also receive a VIP gift bag plus a set of two 9 oz. plastic Champagne flutes, perfect for toasting new year's resolutions. New Year’s Eve hours are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Last reservation is 10 p.m. The menu is $250/couple.

"Noon Year's Eve" is socially distant family event at the South Florida Science Center to help ring in the new year outdoors on the Fisher Family Science Trail. Staying "up" to bring in 2021 will be easy with a midday dance party, science crafts, themed activities, and food. A dry ice apple cider toast at noon will usher in the new year. The event runs from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Event is included with paid admission and is free for members.
