This weekend firefighters will be battling for best ribs, and a Sea Food festival moves to Royal Palm.

1) West Palm Beach Fire Department Rib Challenge

The Gist
It's the inaugural West Palm Beach Fire Department Rib Challenge. Nine fire stations plus the Fire Administration will battle off to be championed as having the best ribs among the West Palm Beach Fire Department. All ticket sales benefit the West Palm Beach Fraternal Order of Firefighters and 10% of all food and beverage sales during the event will be donated. (Oh, and I will be one of the judges! So please come say hi.)

A $20 ticket gets you a draft beer and 6 rib tastings plus limited side dishes provided at each station.

3) Royal Palm Beach Seafood Festival

The Gist
The former West Palm Beach Seafood Festival is now moved to Royal Palm and expanded to a two-day event.  The event is free, live music (including some really good tribute bands), craft vendors, Kids' fun zone and more.

5) Kravis Center Dream Awards - West Palm Beach

The Gist
Witness the talents of some of Palm Beach County’s most gifted musical theater students in this special performance in Dreyfoos Hall. The first-ever Kravis Center Dream Awards will culminate with this showcase—and give two extraordinary students the opportunity to participate in The Jimmy© Awards (The National High School Musical Theatre Awards) in New York City.
