Many people may be heading out of town, but they don’t put a damper on vacation plans. Planning a relaxing and enjoyable Labor Day weekend is as easy as picking up a smartphone and letting a few apps do the work for you.

Here are five apps to help anyone enjoy the Labor Day weekend, whether they are traveling near or far from home — even at the last minute.

Roadtrippers: This app allows users to plan an entire road trip in one, convenient location. Roadtrippers finds interesting places along the way such as attractions, diners, scenic spots, hotels and other points of interest. Users can book reservations at a variety of hotels and/or bed and breakfast locations. Full color pictures, maps, reviews and phone numbers make it easier for app users to not only navigate from place to place, but create full travel itineraries for the entire vacation party. Cost: free on iOS and Google Pla

Key Ring:  Holiday shopping can be a snap with the app that collects users’ favorite store sites (such as Target, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Kohl’s, Michaels and more), upload loyalty cards and gather circulars for easy savings. Key Ring also has a barcode scanner that allows users to scan not only loyalty cards, but store membership cards, and library cards. Cost: free on iOS and Google Play

GTFO — Get the Flight Out:  This app monitors airfares found by travel agents for last-minute flights departing the same day or the next day. Users can book domestic or international destinations directly from their smartphone. Ticket prices include all taxes and fees and no booking fees are applied. Cost: free on iOS

Rizon: Photography fans will love this app. Rizon provides information on any location’s “Golden Hour” — the time of day where someone can shoot the perfect picture thanks to ideal lighting conditions. Some of Rizon’s features include settings for the golden hour, twilight, daylight and moonlight, custom reminders, future date search and it doesn’t require an internet connection. Cost: $1.99 on iOS

The Hunt: Looking for an elusive pair of shoes you saw on sale while out and about? Maybe there’s a pair of jeans that look incredible, but could be cheaper somewhere else. The Hunt app helps shoppers locate the best deal on individual items. Not sure if an outfit is the right color or style? The Hunt allows users to create polls to get feedback from the nearly 4-million member online community. Cost: Free on iOSand Google Play
