WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- New Year's Eve and New Year's Day are two of the busiest days of the year for pizzerias.
For local favorite Pizza Girls on Clematis Street, orders poured in before they opened for the day. The rush for hot pizza increased as lunch approached. The restaurant is so busy co-owner Jennifer Morales says she called in extra staff and delivery drivers to keep up with demand.
Even with such a busy night ahead, Morales says she's happy to be ringing in the new year from behind the register. "We count on big days like this. It gives people an opportunity to try us that don't normally come downtown."
Pizza Girls is staying open until 4:00 a.m. Friday, five hours later than normal.
