What looked like a scene straight from a movie turned out to be real.

A giant model of King Kong went up in flames during the premiere of "Kong: Skull Island."

It happened Thursday in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Flames from a nearby volcano simulation were said to have caused the fire.

Crowds at the premiere first thought it was all part of the show, but scrambled to safety after realizing it wasn't.

Officials said no one was hurt.

Much of the film "Kong: Skull Island" was filmed in Vietnam.
