Irene's bands continue to brush our coast today as the Hurricane travels over the Bahamas, and all day our YouReporters have been sending in photos and videos of the strong winds and intense weather affecting the area.
YouReporter Rima sent us an especially awesome weather video that exhibited some strong winds in Jupiter. In the video, a gust of wind knocks over her basketball hoop, missing her car by mere inches.
Meteorologist Glenn Glazer said bands of heavy rain and wind from Irene will continue to move into our area all day, with some of the heaviest rain moving in late this afternoon and this evening.
