The Palm Beach County School District has announced that after reaching tentative agreements with all of its bargaining units, employees will receive, on average, a 3% increase.
Some will be retroactive to July 1 and others to January 1.
The pay increases are still subject to School Board approval and ratification of individual union groups.
In addition, the district plans to move its minimum wage to $10 an hour. That will impact about 1,300 employees.
The school district is also working to pay school bus drivers $14 an hour which would make them the highest paid public school bus drivers in South Florida.
The superintendent also said starting pay for teachers will increase from $39,500 to $40,775.
The district said the increases impact almost all employees except a small group of 30, which it is still working with.
