Keep holiday entertaining clean and healthful by offering a variety of cocktails this season, with naturally sweetened, clean, low proof and zero proof options.

GOLDEN MILK PUNCH - Makes 1 drink

1 cup coconut milk

¼ ounce vanilla extract

¾ ounce maple syrup

½ teaspoon ground cardamom

½ teaspoon cinnamon

½ teaspoon turmeric or ½ inch fresh

½ teaspoon ginger or ½ inch fresh

pinch black pepper

1 ½ ounce rum, bourbon or spirit of choice

Over medium-low heat, bring coconut milk, vanilla extract, maple syrup, cardamom, cinnamon, turmeric, ginger and black pepper to near boil, stirring constantly. Pour into mug, add rum or bourbon (optional). Top with cinnamon.

MULLED APPLE SPRITZ - Makes 1 drink

¾ cup apple cider

¼ cup pomegranate juice

1 teaspoon spices (cloves, all spice, cinnamon)

1 ounce apple brandy or vodka

1 ounce sparkling wine or seltzer

Over medium-low heat, bring apple and pomegranate juices and mulled spices to near boil and let steep for 15 minutes. Strain and pour into glass or hauled out apples rimmed with chocolate and caramel, add apple brandy or spirit of choice (optional). Top with sparkling wine or seltzer. Top with a cinnamon stick, a rosemary sprig or pomegranate seeds.

WINTER’S FROST - Makes 1 drink

2 ounces tequila

1 ounce fresh lime juice

1 ounce honey or agave

½ teaspoon blue spirulina

Add all ingredients to a mixing tin with ice. Shake and strain into a glass with ice. To create ornaments, blend a batch in advance, then using a funnel, pour chilled mixture into ornaments and keep on ice.
