Grilled NY Strip
1ea 14oz NY Strip Steak
1 tsp Kosher salt
1/2 tsp Coarse ground pepper
1 tbl Butter (melted)
• Heat grill (very, very hot)
• Season room temperature strip steak on both sides with salt & pepper
• Sear steak 5 minutes turning 1/4 once on both sides or until internal temp is 135 degrees (MR)
• Let steak rest for 5 minutes on cooling rack before slicing
• Brush with melted butter
Grilled Filet Mignon
1ea 9oz Filet Mignon
1 tsp Kosher salt
1/2 tsp Coarse ground pepper
1 tbl Butter (melted)
• Heat grill (very, very hot)
• Season room temperature filet on both sides with salt & pepper
• Sear filet for 6 minutes turning 1/4 once on both sides or until internal temp is 135 degrees for MR
• Let steak rest on cooling rack for 5 minutes before slicing
• Brush with melted butter
5 Tips for Grilling Perfect Steaks
1. Purchase a prime aged steak with good marbling.
2. Bring the steak(s) to room temperature prior to cooking.
3. Season steak(s) with a dash of salt and pepper.
4. Be sure that the grill is as clean and hot as possible prior to placing your steak(s) on to begin cooking
5. Give your steak(s) time to rest after cooking prior to serving.
