Two animals often associated with Florida apparently can be pretty close friends.
A photo of an alligator getting cozy with a manatee is creating quite a buzz on the internet.

The photo, posted recently on the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Facebook page, shows a gator swimming atop a manatee entering Blue Spring State Park in Central Florida.
The picture was taken by Dana Menk and posted as part of a recent manatee photo contest.
WPLG-TV in Miami talked to a FWC spokesperson who said the manatee was not in any danger since alligators are not a threat to sea cows of any size.
Even though many have said it looks like the "lazy" gator is hitching a ride, FWC said Menk was probably just in the right place at the right time as the reptile swam over the manatee.
