The Florida Highway Patrol said a pedestrian was hit and killed Monday morning in Fort Pierce.
The incident was reported at 5:45 a.m. on Jenkins Road just north of the intersection with Graham Road.
Both northbound and southbound lanes are closed on Jenkins Road.
The victim's name has not been released.
