A 53-year-old Port St. Lucie man was killed when he crashed his motorcycle into a tree Thursday night in Jensen Beach.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist, Christopher E. Gross, was riding eastbound at 10:16 p.m. on Jensen Beach Boulevard near NE West End Street.
Gross was entering a roundabout but failed to negotiate a curve to the right, hitting the tree. The bike continued east and then hit a railroad track.
FHP said the bike began to overturn and came to a final rest on the southeast corner of the intersection.
Gross was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation.
