All clear after bomb threat evacuates businesses in Riviera Beach

Riviera Beach police have cleared the scene after a bomb threat Thursday morning in an industrial area off Westroads Drive.

Spokeswoman Rose Anne Brown said all businesses have resumed normal operations in the area.

The man believed to have made the call is being questioned by detectives.

At about 7:30 a.m., a man reported that a bomb had been placed at Levingstone Builders located in a building at 4228 Westroads Dr.

 

Brown said the situation was treated as a credible threat, prompting the building and the surrounding area to be evacuated.

The building was searched by the Palm Beach County Sheriff Department Bomb Unit and cleared for re-entry.  No bomb was found.
