Palm Beach police say 6x4 brick of cocaine was found by a resident who was fishing on the beach this week.

According to a police report, an officer was flagged down Wednesday by Carl Douglas, 55, in the 1600 block South Ocean Boulevard regarding a square package that he found.

Authorities tested the package, which came back positive for cocaine.  Police scoured the beach but did not find any more cocaine bricks.

Officers said the package, weighing 1,215.3 grams - or about 2-2/3 pounds, was turned over to a crime scene manager.

With an estimated street value of $30,000 per kilogram, the cocaine is worth around $36,000.
