November's sure to be warm for most

Posted

El Niño's pattern is taking hold for November with most of the country expecting warmer than usual temperatures for the month.

With the latest long-term forecasts out, most of the country is looking at a November that feels more like October or possibly even September.

Nevada and the Four Corners region are the only places looking at an increased chance for some cooler weather to take hold.

As for precipitation, it's going to be wet across the South, especially in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee.

The only place looking at a drier month appear to be a few states in the Northeast.

This is a textbook El Niño forecast and likely a preview of things to come later in the year and throughout the winter.
