Romelo Styles joined WPTV in August 2024 as a multimedia journalist on the Treasure Coast covering a wide variety of stories in Ft. Pierce and Vero Beach.
His love for journalism started as a young kid watching Stuart Scott on ESPN.
Romelo graduated from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va. in 2019 and got his start in television news as an intern at WAVY-TV.
After graduating, he spent two years as a reporter at KTVO-TV in Ottumwa, Iowa followed by three years as a reporter and anchor at KFDM-TV in Beaumont, TX.
In Beaumont, Mello covered breaking news and severe weather, including coverage of Hurricane Beryl, and the House District 21 race that garnered national attention after former President Donald Trump endorsed one of the candidates.
Romelo also interviewed President Joe Biden one-on-one in 2020.
In his spare time, he likes going to sporting events and the gym.
