Three arrested after man shot by paintball gun 18 times outside Opa-locka store

Three people were arrested and a man in Opa-locka is recovering after being shot over a dozen times with a paintball gun Tuesday night.

Officers responded to the scene outside the Family Dollar Store located at 14400 Northwest 27th Avenue. The victim told NBC 6 he ran inside the store after shots began to be fired, but he was not seriously injured.

Police in Miami Gardens later pulled over a vehicle believed to be involved in the incident. Three people - Tyrese Ferguson, Antwon Adams, and a juvenile male - were arrested and charged with battery.

Ferguson and Adams are being held on $1,500 bond.
