PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. -- One suspect is in jail and another hospitalized in critical condition after a vehicle chase from Broward County into Palm Beach County on the Florida Turnpike.
At around 8:30 Monday night, Broward County Sheriff's Deputies spotted a vehicle that was involved in an armed carjacking Sunday night in Pompano Beach.
The driver fled from deputies and headed northbound on the Florida Turnpike.
Deputies were able to bring the vehicle to a stop using the "PIT" maneuver with their vehicles.
The passenger bailed out of the car and off the Turnpike overpass, landing in the median of Lake Worth Road below.
That suspect was transported to Delray Medical Center in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody.
Both suspects are juveniles.
Deputies said the investigation continues.
