A woman is facing an animal cruelty charge after police say she was caught on camera kicking a dog inside an elevator in a building in Aventura.
Keevonna Cante Wilson, 24, was arrested on Sept. 26 in the incident that happened at the Artech Condominiums on Northeast 188th Street, Aventura Police said Thursday.
According to police, a surveillance camera in one of the building's elevators captured Wilson repeatedly kicking and abusing a small dog on Sept. 20.
The dog was removed by Miami-Dade Animal Services Investigators and received medical treatment.
The dog was later placed with a foster family.
Wilson was booked into jail and later released. Attorney information wasn't available.
